New Fireplace

We have lived in our house for almost four years now, and every single day I have loathed the hideous brass edges on this fireplace. Alisa made the suggestion to simply use this paint for a quick, very inexpensive fix.

Seven dollars and a few hours later, here it is:

This is one home improvement project that should have been done a long time ago. Sigh.

What a great idea! Glad to know. Someday, I may need to know that tip.

WOW that looks so much better. I love when you can do something like that for cheap. Great Job!

Seems like the DIY bug is going around. It looks awesome! I also loathe anything brass. I can't wait for a house that I can play with.

It looks great! Don't you just love spray paint? And, there are so many wonderful colors and textures now. I have painted many things around the house including outdated light fixtures and a brass ceiling fan (including the fan blades in a contrasting color.) It kept me from having (or wanting) to buy a new one!

Way to go Kristine! The fire place looks fantastic. Don't you love those "little" jobs that seem to take forever to get around to?
