June baby

Having a baby in June is great for so many reasons. Warm weather (well, warm-ish weather in Oregon so far this summer) makes it okay for baby's wardrobe to consist solely of onesies and bare feet. Baby doesn't have to be quarantined in the house for fear of catching terrible viruses that are all around in the winter months, and I daresay sunshine and summer can definitely chase away any post-baby blues that might creep up here and there.

But one reason that it might not be so great? When older brothers come to mom wanting her to ride bikes, play basketball, and jump on the new trampoline they just earned after saving up since January and her postpartum body causes her, sadly, to say no over and over and over again.

These older brothers think that baby is pretty great, but also just think all their mom ever does anymore is sit on the couch and nurse him. And they're mostly right.

He's a gem! I can't wait to hold him and give a squeeze or two or three or a hundred! Only a couple more weeks! Wahoo!

He's so cute Kristine! I prefer summer babies to winter ones too...even in las vegas. It must be hard having all the other kids at home though, wanting to be entertained and needing your attention. I'm sure you just want to sit and hold your new baby!

I peed my pants a little the first time I jumped on a tramp after having Ben. TMI? It was pretty funny...

He is adorable. Looks just like a Fuller baby. I think those first few months really are nothing but nursing. But they go by so quick, don't ever feel bad about it. Just remember you spent that same precious time with the others when they were little. And you'll be back to bikes and jumping in no time.

I know how you feel!! I had a June baby, my second. And I LOVED the time of year. So perfect! Except that by the time your 6 week postpartum recovery period is over, so is summer! BAH! So then my next two babies were in August, which I hoped would be better, but then I had to be hugely pregnant ALL summer. Bah. I'm trying to figure out the best time to have a baby, really.
I hope you're enjoying your little sweetness!

He is most certainly a little Owen. It was so great to see you the other day. Thanks for coming up!
